10.22.2008 Wednesday: Prepping for Mesa Storytelling

Picture of: me and Marilyn at the storytellers' welcoming reception for the Mesa Storytelling Festival. Not sure what we we are doing here in this picture, maybe something scary?

Today I: picked up the rental car; made hotel reservations in Mesa for Thursday; delivered my CD's to the consignment shop at the Mesa Arts Center- nice joint- friendly staff; kept on flaring; made the far-away drive to the reception in Gilbert with staff, volunteers, sponsors and storytellers for the Festival which kicks off on Thursday; talked through my newest version of B&B over and over again in my 45 minute drive home; photo by Mark Goldstein, who in addition to being a fine human being in his own right, is the husband of the MSF director, Liz Warren.

10.10.2008 Friday: Weeding Through the Crash

Picture of: closeup view of a centerpiece (and necklace) on the table at my friend Liz Warren's home. It's about 24 inches across, made with blue sticks joined by wire forming a large collar that can be work around the neck- for costuming only. Liz has used it to represent the Cailleach.

Today I: worked on rebuilding more of my computer life- trying to figure out what funds to spend on what and when; spoke with a client for an upcoming gig at the end of the month; began writing a blog posting; (actually losing track of what I did today- this computer thing is such a problem);had a coaching session with a client of mine; went to Liz's house (mentioned above) for a prep session for the Mesa Storytelling Festival- I'm storytelling there and also being an MC for various events;

08.21.2008 Thursday: Coaching and Prepping

Picture: the cover of the new college textbook "The Oral Tradition Today: An Introduction to the Art of Storytelling" by Liz Warren. Nice job, Liz.

Today I: spoke with the sponsors for this weekend's storytelling event; emailed a potential new sponsor in New York; did the bank and post office errand run; cleaned out the drain of the tub in the "kids'" bathroom at our house; did an in-person coaching session with two clients tonight in their storytelling projects; twittered; was pleased to see our information products starting to sell; daughter #4 wants you to know that the dog is not mean- I told her that I knew that already. She also wants you to know that the picture a few days ago from the Boot Camp was of her hands making that sandwich.

03.15.2008 Saturday: Stortyeller.net At Borders

Picture of: storyteller Liz Warren telling at our monthly Storyteller.net at Borders event tonight.

Today I: prepped for tonight' event; changed the recording process for future events; finished the flyer for the "Make Your Best CD" course; MC'd and told at the gathering along with some very talented people such as Liz Warren, Doug Bland and Carol Knarr; bad FMS fog today and yet I managed to get through the first 10 minutes of the Battle of the Wrens including the bashing of brains on rocks --ahh, I love fairytales. I am sure this evening's stories will be this month's podcast. Well done, my friends; heard from a graduate of the Outside In Marketing Camp and how she got published in an out of state paper about her out of state road tour. The stuff of the OISBC works. Come.
