06.06.2008 Friday: School Shows and Tomatoes

Picture of: the wall at the Cotton Boll Elementary School with their bulldog logo on it.

Today I: performed two storytelling shows at the above school that was actually for another school that is doing their program at this school; had a great time with both groups of kids- lots of laughing; worked on some calendar things while sitting at Denny's sans tomato on my meal as apparently all tomatoes are poisonous now; took a quick nap to let me fibro head and my wounded voice (newbie mistake) settle down; returned Emails and phone calls; met a kid behind the counter at local restaurant who asked, "Can I ask you a question? Are you a storyteller?" It appears this young man made a few stops at our "Storyteller.net @ Borders" nights over the last year. Thanks, Josh.; made grilled cheese sandwiches for family; watched BSG.

04.19.2008 Saturday: The Borders is Crowded

Picture of: me performing at the http://www.storytellingatborders.com event tonight in Avondale, AZ.

Today I: sorted through and updated my storytelling; wrote a new blog post; worked on two new stories for Borders tonight- if nothing else, the Borders event (three years now) requires that I learn new stories every month; had lunch with daughters #1 and #3; packed up the equipment for the show; performed at Borders to one of our larger crowds; had the traditional after-Borders meal with my wife, mother and children; this event is now "dark" until September, we'll see if we resurrect it.

03.15.2008 Saturday: Stortyeller.net At Borders

Picture of: storyteller Liz Warren telling at our monthly Storyteller.net at Borders event tonight.

Today I: prepped for tonight' event; changed the recording process for future events; finished the flyer for the "Make Your Best CD" course; MC'd and told at the gathering along with some very talented people such as Liz Warren, Doug Bland and Carol Knarr; bad FMS fog today and yet I managed to get through the first 10 minutes of the Battle of the Wrens including the bashing of brains on rocks --ahh, I love fairytales. I am sure this evening's stories will be this month's podcast. Well done, my friends; heard from a graduate of the Outside In Marketing Camp and how she got published in an out of state paper about her out of state road tour. The stuff of the OISBC works. Come.

03.12.2008 Wednesday: Po Pour Ree

Picture of: setting up the room and kids trickling in for the school shows I did today. My roadie, aka Daughter #1, is on the left.

Today I: did two school shows, age skewed, went great; edited two new audio tracks for my next two CD's; sent invoices to a sponsor; tickled another sponsor about a contract; did some planning work with meetings room coordinators and caterers- if you don't call me back, I can't give you any money, kids; made tweaks to the Echo Chamber posting; added audio stories to Storyteller.net; sent a note out to my Arizona Emailing list about the next http://www.storytellingatborders.com/ event; sent my learning contracts to my school; updated my web page calendar at seantell.scom; bought another URL, I think I own 175 now; bought diet dr pepper and apple juice on a late night run to the store with daughter #3

02.16.2008 Saturday: Storytelling at Borders

Picture of: me telling at our Storyteller.net @ Borders event we hold the third Saturday of every month. This storytelling picture had some odd lens thing going on and it turned out like an oil painting. Odd.

Today I: secured the Austin, Texas location for the new "Storyteller.net Live" event on May 10, 2008; told stories at Borders in the evening- someone said my Cinderella was brilliant ; had dinner with my wife, kids and mother- lovely little after-Borders tradition.

02.13.2008 Wednesday: Phineas Eats Grammy

Picture of : Phineas Phig the Guinea Pig. Please note that he is playing on the table underneath my invitation to the "50th Anniversary Edition of the Grammy Awards" held last week. I didn't go, I didn't have the right clothes. LOL. Mad props to the Recording Academy folks for nominating real storytellers in the last few years.

Today I: was locked in my office doing storyteller paperwork, spending too much time answering Emails that won't move things forward; stood in line at the post office which I never do any more and talked about the "Storyteller.net at Borders" event with the guy who handles my POBOX mail; didn't have a school gig today as they are all doing conferences; finally escaped last night with my wife to go eat a salad before I lost my marbles sitting in front of this darn computer; came home to find Phineas wandering about the table with my Grammy invites. He said they were delicious.
