Today I: did a huge amount of work on my website, making a major face lift to launch Thursday or Friday; ate lunch with kids; post office and bank; took daughter to interview for job at the dog-care place hence I have the card to show you; worked more on the websites.

Today I: made chicken chili for my family (sometimes referred to as "white chili" as it does not have a tomato base); drove out to the wedding site with my brother to view the location and talk to he and future bride about the wedding coming up soon; had an initial consultation with a new storytelling coaching client; finished my latest blog post on the adaptation of "world tales" to business storytelling uses.::C2008. Picture of: my hotel breakfast before I started this long day. Mmmm, oatmeal. Today I: woke up earl(ier) than usual to finish a project that was bugging me in my brain; grabbed the hotel breakfast and ate it in my room; packed up my suitcases and supplies; checked out of hotel; taxi I prearranged did not come so I took the hotel shuttle to the airport and grabbed a taxi there; missed taxi meant I missed the group bus to go run up (or even amble up) the "Rocky" stairs in Philly; presented my brief workshop on the use of folktales/fables in business and corporate storytelling settings; talked with several people afterwards who might be interested in my services as a storytelling coach; had a great lunch with lots of positive conversation; attended a workshop on the use and development of telecourses; "split" a cab with another person back to the Philly airport; took a B767 plane from Philly to Charlotte- first wide-body (umm, sorta) that I had been on since I was in high-school; barely made it in time for my flight to PHX-which was a cramped, painful trip and otherwise uneventful. BOO to USAirways for the $15 baggage fee. I don't pay it 'cuz I travel so much but others try to get around it by taking everything on board causing chaos and unhappy people. (BOO USAirways for this!); finally got home to my lovely family at the airport and the drive home- just about 10 days straight on the road; ate some late dinner; wrote to you; crawling into bed. Today I: ran from thing to thing; wrote a new blog post over at the other blog; talked in Email at length; learned a new folktale; followed up with a corporate storytelling client; prepped for my the "guys" retreat I am leading this weekend; told my youngest that I am leaving this weekend on a road trip. Her answer was "oh" and she went back to her computer games. My kids don't know anything else other than me being gone on trips so my leavings are par for the course. Today I: finished the class with my clients today, focusing on the new process of "Interpret. Express. Integrate." that I have been creating for the users of story along with the "Outside In Storytelling" process that is for the storytellers. Overall , I am very happy with these new processes and projects; sold tickets for the Emergent Storytelling Series that will be this Saturday; was sad to see another local group still be starry-eyed about getting some "names." Picture of: the training room and some folks working in breakout groups in the corporate storytelling event I am teaching in Scottsdale this week. Today I: picked up a rental car; spent a lot of time at Kinko's; drove out to Scottsdale to teach this storytelling workshop (day 1); taught part one of the workshop with some really nice people in the class; took a lot of Ibuprofen to balance this bad back...that I have from standing and teaching today; readjusted my Tuesday class to better fit the issues that came up on Monday; made more copies and went to Kinko's some more.::C2008. Picture of: my youngest finishing her 31 flavors ice cream, of which she only had 2. If you have taken any of my corporate training, you know that I teach a process of "Intentionality" in developing your storytelling for corporate or any setting. This is my picture of my "intentional thought" of the day. I'll post about it in my regular blog later this week over at www.seanblogs.com . Today I: spent a lot of time catching up on family things such as shopping and making dinner, running kids to places, buying ice cream; worked the final touches on handouts for the corporate storytelling gig I have on Monday and Tuesday.
