12.20.2008 Saturday: Here Come the Holidays.

Picture of: one of the shopping bags in the back of my van.

Today I: worked on database updates and additions; sent new postcards; did banking and post office; spent the rest of the day doing the holiday shopping thing and running daughter #1 back and forth to here dog agility competition; sorta of a "here comes the holidays" day.

10.11.2008 Saturday: Wind-Swept Fields

Picture of: daughter #1 surveying the wind swept fields at the agility competition where she runs her dog(s) for show.

Today I: took wife and daughters #1 and #4 to the park 'cross town where the dog runs take place- it was actually cold today at 530AM; came home and napped after dropping them off; continued to reassemble my life onto new computer (OMGoodness, did that hurt)- there is light at the end of the data disaster tunnel; worked on developing new coaching proposal for corporate storytelling coaching client who is based out of California; finished corrections to new blog article which I will post on Sunday; returned to dog park to watch daughter and dog compete tonight; packed them up for the night; drove home, did the grocery store and make dinner thing; called it an early night.

08.20.2008 Wednesday: Poor Baby.

Picture of: an old 2002 picture of our very first dog, who is now a slightly crazy, sneaky critter who likes to have things her own way or she is mean to other dogs and people. She is easily offended. It's best to ignore such precious critters when they behave badly.

Today I: made flight arrangements for a trip to Philadelphia; booked hotel rooms for Tennessee and Philly; had lunch with my wife to work through calendar things; cancelled the Philadelphia version of the "Storyteller.net Live" show; made meeting room arrangements for the "Ancient Secret of Public Speaking" workshops in October and November; worked on publicity for the ASPS workshop; talked with a client about our delay on the audio files; made car arrangements for my out-of-town trip this weekend; made chili for dinner; twittered; began work on a new story today; cleaned out my hard drive, archived some files and found the picture of the dog gracing this note; I am lucky to have peers and associates who are smart, kind and supportive.

05.02.2008 Friday: The Dog Ate My Pizza

Picture of: the remaining pizza crust, sans toppings post canine.

Today I: did a phone interview regarding storytelling with a major magazine; if you have taken the Outside In Marketing Camp, you know what happens when the press calls; ran to the bank and the post office; hand made four pizzas, all scratch, for my family dinner. Went upstairs to check on something. When I came back I now had three pizzas and one that had been stolen off the counter by the new dog, taken out to the backyard, licked clean of toppings and left chewed and destitute. Bad (BAD!!) Dog. Another work of art destroyed by a dog. Bad Dog. But he is sooo cute; answered a forum post; watched BSG and called it a night.
